Google for Education, in collaboration with its local partner Tech Valley, is set to establish 50 smart schools in Islamabad, marking a significant step towards leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) tools for enhanced productivity and collaboration in the education sector.

The decision was announced during a meeting between representatives of Google for Education and the Secretary of the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training. The discussion centered on upcoming initiatives aimed at transforming Pakistan’s education landscape.

Among the initiatives discussed were plans to conduct teacher workshops focused on utilizing Google for Education tools, as well as training 2,000 young individuals in job-ready skills through Google Career Certificates. These efforts aim to equip educators and students with the necessary digital skills to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven world.

Additionally, there was dialogue regarding the potential collaboration on hosting an Edutech event in Pakistan, in partnership with the Ministry of Federal Education. Such an event would serve as a platform for showcasing innovative educational technologies and fostering collaboration between stakeholders in the education sector.
