Chief of Army Staff, General Syed Asim Munir, held a meeting with Iranian President Dr. Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi on Tuesday, where they engaged in discussions primarily centered on Pak-Iran matters of mutual interest, particularly regional peace, stability, and border security.
Both leaders agreed on the importance of enhancing bilateral cooperation and working together to promote regional stability and economic prosperity.
General Munir emphasized that the Pakistan-Iran border serves as “the border of peace and friendship,” underscoring the need for enhanced coordination along the border to prevent any attempts by terrorists to undermine the longstanding brotherly relations between the two neighboring countries.
President Raisi echoed these sentiments, emphasizing that by fostering cooperation between the Armed Forces of Pakistan and Iran, both nations, as well as the wider region, can achieve peace and stability.
