Lahore – Iranian President, Dr. Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, was warmly welcomed upon his arrival in Lahore today, where he was greeted by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, members of the Provincial Cabinet, and other distinguished guests at the airport.

The Punjab government, in honor of President Raisi’s visit, declared a local holiday in Lahore district and its subordinate offices. However, the holiday excludes the Punjab Civil Secretariat, its attached departments, and regional offices.

President Raisi, who arrived in Islamabad earlier this week, held significant meetings with President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, and other leaders.

Strict security measures have been implemented for the occasion to ensure the safety of all involved.

Following his visit to Lahore, President Raisi is scheduled to proceed to Karachi, where he will pay homage to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah at his mausoleum, the father of the nation. Additionally, he will meet with top leadership from the Sindh government and representatives of the business community during his stay in Karachi.
