After allowing the same option for modifying the pace of playing of audio messages earlier this year, WhatsApp has begun beta testing speed control of audio messages.
In an audio message that is a voice note, the messaging app loses its playing speed button, but it is sent to another chat. The playback button in a forwarded voice note vanishes, allowing you to select 1.5x or 2x speed.
According to sources, the corporation may take some time to implement the functionality on iOS and Android smartphones.

According to WABETAINFO, this functionality will be accessible in a future version of WhatsApp beta for Android and iOS.
It went on to say that the feature was found in a recent version of WhatsApp beta for iOS, but it’s presently under development and will undoubtedly appear in future versions of WhatsApp beta for Android as well.
Earlier this month, it was revealed that WhatsApp is going to include a voice message transcription capability. WaBetaInfo previously stated that it has detected an ongoing development that will give transcriptions for WhatsApp audio messages.
However, it was noted that your communications would not be routed to the WhatsApp or Facebook servers, but that Apple would offer transcription. This will also aid Apple’s voice recognition technologies. So, how does this work?
When it is released, the functionality will be offered as an option. When they wish to transcribe a voice message, users must provide WhatsApp access to their device’s Speech Recognition technology.

Once you grant messaging app access, you will be able to utilise the transcribing service. It functions similarly to the Text to Speech tool. Using the speech recognition feature, the system reads and writes your voice.
When you play a voice message, a “Transcript” option will appear, allowing you to read messages. You may be able to play the voice message at any time.
“When a message is initially transcripted, its transcription is kept locally in the WhatsApp server, so you don’t need to transcript it again if you want to read its transcription later,” WaBetaInfo explained.
For the time being, it is unknown when the feature will be accessible for Android users, although voice message transcription will soon be ready for iOS beta users.
