On a daily basis, millions of people all over the world count on the popular messaging application WhatsApp to connect with their friends, loved ones, and co-workers. However, due to the version of their smartphones, many of them will no longer be able to utilise the app.
As per a source in the UK-based magazine The Sun, the app will cease to function on some smartphone models in November 2021.

According to the magazine, the app will not be compatible on both iPhone and Android devices, thus impacted customers will have to either purchase a new phone or update the software on their handsets.
According to the magazine, over 40 distinct smartphone models would be unable to use WhatsApp, and the time limit for updating the software is November 1.
According to the newspaper, Android users must be running Android 4.1 or later, while iPhone users must be running iOS 10 or later.
