Two Pakistan Army Soldiers, including a younger captain, were killed during a Sector Sanitization Mission in Zewa, Kurram District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), according to the military’s media wing on Tuesday.

The operation was conducted in response to the suspected existence of militants, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

During the fierce firefight, three militants were killed, according to the report.

Security personnel have begun a blockade operation in Kurram district to apprehend any remaining militants in the region.

Captain Basit, a 25-year-old Haripur local, and Sepoy Hazrat Bilal, a 22-year-old Orakzai native, were among the killed army soldiers.
