Asma Nabeel, a screenwriter, succumbs to cancer

Asma Nabeel, a well-known Pakistani scriptwriter, producer, and poet, died on Thursday after a protracted illness.

After a protracted illness, the Khaani author succumbed to cancer in Karachi.

“With a heavy heart, I must inform you that my bhabhi, Asma, is no longer with us,” said a message on Asma’s Facebook page.

Among Asma’s notable drama serials are Khuda Mera Bhi Hai and Damsa, among others.

A lot of celebrities have expressed their sorrow at Asma’s passing.

Adnan Siddiqui, a senior actor, remarked, “Asma, you fighter!” He was taken far too soon. We were going to see your superbly crafted dramas a number of times.”

“Inna lillahe waina elahe rajaoon, it’s devastating to realise she’s no longer with us.” A broken heart… Asma , you left this world much too soon. You were a strong woman. May Allah rest your soul in heaven. Aameen,” Aijaz Aslam penned the piece.

Feroze Khan said on Twitter, “Asma Nabeel lost her battle with cancer, but she surely earned a better spot up there.” May her spirit find peace.”

Samina Peerzada described the famous producer as a courageous warrior, saying, “Asma Nabeel a cancer warrior a brave heart and a lovely spirit would be lost for the work that she yet had to accomplish.” She was the author of KHAANi, among other works. “Rest in peace, lovely soul.”
