An explosion happened in Johar Town Lahore neighbourhood, killing 2 and injuring at least 17 persons.
The explosion happened in E block, near Ahsan Mumtaz Hospital, according to rescuers. The injured were transported to Jinnah Hospital, said to Lahore CCPO Ghulam Mehmood Dogar in a statement. He stated, “The nature of the blast is being determined.”
He also ordered officials to keep residents away from the explosion scene so that rescue and relief activities may go without interruption.

According to witnesses, the glass windows of adjacent houses and buildings were smashed. One of the buildings was extensively destroyed, and some automobiles parked near the bomb site were also damaged.
Ten individuals were injured, according to rescue personnel, and were transported to Jinnah Hospital in Lahore using private vehicles and auto-rickshaws. According to them, six of the ten had minor injuries.
The Jinnah Hospital administration has requested that people come forward and give blood for the injured, noting that four wounded individuals have been brought to the hospital for treatment.
Jinnah Hospital has been designated an emergency to treat the injured, and Rescue 1122 and other relief organisations have been urged to speed up rescue efforts.

The boom was so powerful that it could be heard from miles away. However, the nature of the explosion has yet to be determined.
The area has been sealed off by police for further investigation, and traffic has been rerouted.
Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has requested a thorough report from the Inspector-General of Police following the event.
The Punjab administration declared on Twitter that the Chief Minister has ordered an urgent inquiry into the event.
