Shafqat Mahmood, the Federal Minister for Education, has tested positive for Covid-19, according to the PTI leader.

‘I have tested positive for coronavirus,’ Mahmood tweeted on his official Twitter account. With only minor symptoms, I’m OK. InshAllah, I’ll be OK shortly.’

The Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood had revealed earlier in March that he had been vaccinated against Covid-19 at the Polyclinic Hospital in the federal capital.

Many Pakistani leaders, including Prime Minister Imran Khan, Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, and President Alvi, have battled the unusual virus.

The country’s death toll from the pandemic has risen to 20,400, according to the latest statistics from the Nationwide Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), while the national total of Covid-19 cases has risen to 904,000, with 2,253 additional persons testing positive in the previous 24 hours.
