Syed Khurshid Shah, a leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party, and his son, Syed Zeerak Ahmed Shah, both contracted coronavirus on Sunday.
According to local media reports, the Member of the National Assembly experienced minor symptoms before being diagnosed with the novel infection.

Shah had recently been released from jail on parole following the death of his nephew from Covid complications.
Covid-19 took nine more lives in Sindh during the previous 24 hours, according to the latest data from the National Command and Operation Center, bringing the total death toll in the province to 4,667.
