Fawad Alam is the first Pakistani to turn all four of his Test 50s into 100s.

Fawad Alam, Pakistan’s in-form batsman, added another notch to his hat by being the first Asian and fastest Pakistani batsman to turn four-Test 50s into 100s in 18 innings.

Fantastic Fawad is the first Asian and sixth batsman in history to turn his first four Test 50s into 100s, according to a tweet from the Pakistan Cricket Board.

In Test cricket, Fawad Alam the 35-year-old left-handed batsman also holds the world record for most centuries among players with a 100 percent conversion rate. Ravi Bopara is next, with three tons and no half-centuries.

Alam hit a century in Sri Lanka in 2009, but was dropped after just two more Tests and had to wait more than a decade for his next opportunity, which came last year in England.

Meanwhile, Shaheens reached 374-6 at the end of the day, thanks to Fawad’s unbeaten 108 and opener Imran Butt’s patient 91 earlier in the day, giving them a 198-run lead over Zimbabwe at the Harare Sports Club.
